At the end of the video we announced dates for Wilco to come and do the same thing which happened earlier this year. I'll post that video later!

Sounds absolutely fantastic. Why is your friend selling it?! A few thousand = 5 in this case probably.
Same problem.....annnnndd....... I have springs. Put the rubber surgical tubing in. Thanks dude.
Is it drop D tuning?
The only thing that tele should be playing is some blues music
Just found the channel liked the video
Ciao. Chiedo un consiglio, per suonare punk hc, è migliore il modello Classic Rock o Classic Metal? Grazie
Do you have a video where you detail this guitar??? What pickups you’re using etc. it sounds great
You know whart, I thought I had made a video before but apparently I never did. I recently sold the guitar so I'm afraid I can't make that video, at least not properly. It is a squier affinity telecaster where I replaced the hardware in black and added locking tuners and I swapped out the bridge pickup for SD Super Distortion pickups. They are really great!
@@geirisk8 thanks! I might do the same to my tele. Great vid, cheers!
Jazzmaster pickups are short single coils. They have a bright and jangly sound. Perfect for rhythm. I have a Harley Benton Mosrite Classic. Sounds great. I want a Jazzmaster now
Yeah I recently got a 40th Anniversary Squier Jazzmaster and it's really good. I love the way they play and the tone as well!
TNX man!! :) I would say that over EQ it sound great for the money... but not shure would I go with that, or maybe with the small battery amp and run the headphones over it :)
00:25, that's what she said!
Hell yeah. 90% of the guitar covers don’t play the outro melody. You killed it!
It's a part of the song so of course it needs to be played! Cheers mate!!
What do we expect from a $100 guitar? I have one and I think it's great, If you want a great guitar buy a fender and pay x 1000$ more. You'll probably be surprised, because of the price difference. When I was young, we would have liked to have a guitar like this.
Oh yeah man I get the difference. I would also have liked to have an option like this when I started out as a kid. I have a video coming up of a Custom Shop Masterbuilt Fender Telecaster which I think is the highest quality guitar I've played yet, and the difference is insane .. same as the pricetag haha!
Cool instagram.
Thank you, I have a lot of content coming up and I'm borrowing guitars from really seasoned musicians so most of them have history and been used a lot.
just coped one
Sweet!
These are so good man, appreciate the effort you've put into your back catalogue!
Thank you! Yeah I used to put a lot of effort into making these instrumental covers. I don't really do them much now but I may throw in a few every now and then!
aye i own that same model/finish
Awesome, how do you like it?
@@geirisk8 its great, i bought it used off reverb about 2 years ago. I keep it in d standard with a set of .10 - .52 gauge strings. Much like your comment on the action, i keep mine pretty low. It’s a super solid, workhorse of a guitar.
I’ll donate 69$ to a part 2 gagagoooosh🙃
Hahah no need to donate, I'm working on it ;)
I will be the proud owner of many GFS products. Got a Xaviere XV-870 with a Neovin bridge pickup. I will probably put all Neovins on it, and get another one as its backup... Kwikplug is a game changer!
Awesome! I agree that Kwikplug is really good, especially for those who are afraid of soldering. You can easily mess things up!
This pedal suffers, as do Joyo ultimate drive (bypass edition) until they fixed it, with reversed diode. When you swapped it around the pedal clears up and sounds pretty much as an OCD
Interesting point!
Everlong on the Gio 🔥🔥
Aw yeah!!
Would love a part 2! Especially if you include some songs from Low Teens, which is one of my favorite albums of the past 10 years! Traveled to Germany to see them with Converge, an amazing show!
Working on it ;)
Can you confirm the scale length on this? Sounds great btw
Hey there! It is a 25.5" scale length!
What I like most about Harley Benton, is they have a ton of designs and finishes for left handed players... The JA60 is a great inexpensive alternative to a jazzmaster.
Yeah you're right!
better than dream 180
¿Qué esperas de una guitarra de 99€? Una Tele Fender?
Of course not, I'm merely seeing what you're getting for a guitar at this price point. There's lots of people out there who are looking to get a guitar for little money. There are guitars that can be decent for a low price but also guitars that are really horrible for the same price.
You're a beast! Great video! Gonna try some of these!
Thank you! I'm honestly surprised how many people have watched this and for the feedback from people.
Great video, I bought one and love it!
Woohoo that's awesome man!!
Pretty good guitar. Own it for a year and not disappointed. But tuners are not good for me. I Have some videos with this guitar on our channel.
Yeah that seems to be the thing with the HB budget guitars. The build is mostly good and I think especially on this guitar, the pickups sound really good. The tuners could be better but luckily there's a ton of options out there so people can modify the guitars to their taste.
wat effects did you use in the intro ?
Oh wow it's been a while since I did that one. I believe I'm just using a high gain amp with a lot of gain and probably a distortion pedal to increase the gain and sustain. On top of that there's some reverb. There's at least two guitars playing at the same time too.
ua-cam.com/users/liveo4cUafuQ1gg?si=HD-kDCVT1SJ5SShK
I have the sunburst version and it has what I think is a very good sound. The pickups sounded surpassingly good for the price point and it does inspire different ideas when playing it. Well worth the money IMHO.
Yeah I agree. What I've noticed with the baritone guitars is that I'm really enjoying when they have P90 pickups or some sort of single coil pickup. They just bite harder and are crispier, usually at least.
I like the sound of that guitar a lot. Wow.
Right?? P90 pickups are sometimes quite underrated.
Wow! I was sold on it from the first chord! I've got a Danelectro baritone, which I really like - but I think it's a longer scale than this Tele? I'm seriously tempted to try the Squier after getting their J. Mascis Jazzmaster which is superb.
Hmm I'm not sure about the Danelectro, I've never tried one. There's a ton of really good Squires now, especially if you get the ones that are just slightly more expensive than the cheap ones. I haven't tried the J. Mascis one but I have the 40th anniversary jazzmaster (video later) and I LOVE that one!
Bought one for a friend, matte black ... I was AMAZED at how good this guitar is, I mean if you told me it was woth a grand I would believe it. And the setup was perfect out of the box, neck felt perfect, tuners worked, sound was good, the attention to detail like I have never seen on a guitar this cheap (or even more expensive ones), flawless, even the frets were shiny and polished ... crazy part, even the strings were shiny. I do not know where the catch is but it looks like they really made this model amazingly well from the get go, I just wonder if they are loosing money on this or is the skilled labor that cheap in China. And looks so freaking awesome that I am thinking of buying one just to have one, the matte black body and pickups, the contrasting bright shark teeth inlays on the superbly sanded fretboard and no sharp fret ends. Before buying this one on Thomann I have returned one B-stock Schecter C-6 deluxe, crappy fret job and sort of soft neck and an Ibanez 121SP, the one with the rosted maple neck, that had fret buzz no mather how high I set the action. Both more expensive than the 121DX, so I do not understand how these things go, maybe just luck of the draw ... hope it will stay this good for a long time as it is a birthday present.
Yeah here's the thing, there are some really nice guitars out there that are very affordable and this one seems like a gem in the ocean of guitars nowadays. The model I tried was spectacular (at least from memory) so I get why it is so popular.
Excellent demo! Great to see you reviewing gear again. The studio’s looking choice.
Thank you! It's been a while for sure and A LOT has happened in the last 2+ years. I dunno, maybe I'll inform those who are interested. I have a lot of things to share that are kinda cool so I could maybe make it into an interesting video.
Sounds like shit
best guitar ever
Honestly, I agree. I've had it for so so so many years and I don't think I could ever sell it. It's just so good!
Yes part 2
Working on it ;)
The description doesn’t tell which ibanez gio 7 string it is. Does anyone know the model number
Hey there sorry about that. I got the guitar second hand and I failed to check which exact model it is. I was looking through Thomann and I think it's the "Ibanez GRG7221-BKF" model. If not then that would be the closest match I could find.
It’s all good thank you for letting me know.
I have essentially the same one with a different switch and finish. My only complaint is that I can't lower the action without getting severe buzz. Several frets are at least four thou higher than the rest and it sucks. Apparently they don't glue the frets in place, and I'm sure they don't level them either. Aside from that, it's fine.
Interesting, I don't remember the frets being the way you described them. The fact about budget guitars is that some of them will be less perfect than others.
thanks dude that was awesome!
Thanks for watching and listening!
Peers, hi wh*reee And mother sheee Won't drain herself and won't become this kid All live in a big world 'side just because!
Yeah!
wow, i like, It's metal ! but also the rock blues...
Hahah yes exactly!
Thank you for doing this review. I have been looking at baritone's and 7 strings for a while to extend my range of metal playing. i dont think i am ready for another string so i wanted a baritone option on a budget. i was looking at this guitar for a while and i think this has review has made my mind up and i will pull the trigger on it. thank you once again. more than earned a like and follow.
Thank you so much the comment! I just wanna make videos and share my opinions and views on all kinds of random gear and hope to inspire people or that someone finds this helpful for them to make up their mind on a purchase. Cheers mate!
this rules
You rule!
I build same pedal but the switch popping loudly .can you help me pls ? do you use some pulldown resistor ?
Honestly, It's been such a long time. I started using relay switching bypass later on which was pretty much alwasy perfect. Sometimes I couldn't make pedals switch perfectly with just regular 3PDT switches.
tight!
Thank you!
my second guitar was an epiphone g310 , i got it from a pawn shop and i thought it was grey, when i got it home and cleaned it up it turns out it was an off white, more of a cream color, turns out i cleaned cigarette smoke off of it. great sounding, now great looking.
Wow that's an interesting story. I thought it was only made in black like mine. I still have it and I probably won't ever get rid of it. Truly great guitar for the price!
nice
Sounds incredible, I see no reason to change pickups!
